Your mock rules and request logs are stored in your browser and never uploaded. Last updated: August 2026.
What stays local
ApiSimul's rule matching, placeholder rendering, and log writing all run as client-side JavaScript in your browser. The rules you configure, the response bodies you template, and the call logs the Service Worker records are kept in IndexedDB on your machine and are never transmitted to our servers.
What we collect
We do not require accounts and do not collect personal information directly. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical data — IP address, request time, user agent — for security and operations. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.
Third-party scripts
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and placeholder-generated image URLs point at public image services such as picsum.photos. These providers see standard web requests under their own privacy policies. The content of your mock rules is not included in those requests.
Cookies and advertising
We may display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. Third-party ad networks have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.
Service Worker scope
The operator we register only observes requests made by pages on apisimul.com, per browser security rules. It cannot read traffic from other websites you visit. Unregistering it removes the interception entirely.
IndexedDB and your data
Rules and logs persist in your browser's storage. Clearing site data for apisimul.com deletes them permanently — use the Export button on the rule board to keep a backup of anything you care about.
Children's privacy
ApiSimul is a developer tool for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
